The Vegan Kind is an incredibly popular online supermarket that also offers two subscription boxes; a bi-monthly Beauty Box and a monthly Lifestyle Box which is the one that I’m going to show you all today. Inside the box, you can expect to receive between 5-8 vegan-friendly and cruelty-free products from a variety of categories such as food, drink, toiletries, household, lifestyle and more – it’s always exciting to see the box arrive as I’ve never been disappointed!
Below are the contents for this month’s box:-
East Bali Cashews Salted Caramel Popcorn with Cashews (RRP £3.15)
This huge bag of Salted Caramel Popcorn was the first thing that grabbed my attention and it tastes amazing! 100% plant-based and free from gluten and preservatives, it’s made by an ethical brand called East Bali Cashews who have created over 400 jobs for people living in an impoverished region of Bali, many of whom were unemployed women. By purchasing their ingredients direct from smallholder farmer families, the local community have been able to build the area’s first pre-school, so this really is a guilt-free and tasty snack!
Squirrel Sisters Raspberry Ripple Natural Energy Bar (RRP £1.99)
Next up, I found an interesting product from Squirrel Sisters who are known for their healthy snack foods. This Raspberry Ripper Natural Energy Bar is 100% natural, gluten-free and contains no added sugar. Bursting full of raspberries, it has a deliciously fruity flavour and gives you lots of energy without any sugar crashes later on. Ideal as a pre or post-workout treat, or as a grab and go breakfast option for busy mornings.
Ben & Anna Natural Deodorant in Persian Lime (RRP £9.95)
For this month’s lifestyle/beauty product, The Vegan Kind have included a full-size Natural Deodorant from Ben & Anna which is something that I’ve been wanting to try after seeing countless positive reviews about the brand online. Made from all natural vegan ingredients, this eco-friendly deodorant is free from aluminium and parabens. Instead, it uses a combination of Sodium Bicarbonate and Arrowroot Extract combined with a mix of plant and seed oils to keep you fresh and dry all day long. This one is called Persian Lime and has lots of zesty essential oils which I love!
Fiid Smoky Mexican Black Bean Chilli Nourishing Lunch Bowl (RRP £3.50)
For a healthy ready meal, this Fiid Smoky Mexican Black Bean Chilli Nourishing Lunch Bowl contains a whopping 47% vegetables which count as 3 of your 5 a day. Gluten and dairy-free, it’s free from additives and preservatives and can be heated up in the microwave or on the hob for a fast and filling meal that’s ready in just 3 minutes.
Tenzing Natural Energy Drink (RRP £1.59)
If you’re looking for a more natural energy drink, you must try this one from Tenzing. Made purely from plant-based ingredients with nothing artificial and no sweeteners, it offers a triple hit of Vitamin C, natural Caffeine and Electrolytes to give you a boost when you need it the most. Tenzing also sources their Green Tea from Rainforest Alliance certified farms and donate 5% of their annual profits to fund environmental projects.
Popchips Ridges Smoky Bacon Flavour (RRP £0.89)
With 50% less fat than regular crisps, these new Popchips Ridges really hit the spot when you want a savoury treat! I enjoyed the Smoky Bacon flavour and thought they paired well with a nice cold beer or cider!
Raw Halo Dark + Salted Caramel Raw Chocolate Bar (RRP £1.39)
Saving the best to last, the final product in this month’s The Vegan Kind box is an amazing Raw Chocolate Bar from Raw Halo. Made with 76% raw dark chocolate, it has a delicate Salted Caramel flavour which adds sweetness to the rich chocolate and there’s a sprinkling of pink Himalayan Salt to finish it off beautifully. I love that it’s organic too and would definitely purchase it again as a dairy-free treat.
At the bottom of the box, I found May’s recipe card which is presented by Sasha Gill for her Jackfruit & Ginger dish which sounds interesting!
