So this month we’re going on a little autumnal trip around Japan in snacks and treats!

Here’s the main menu. It’s got a slightly different layout this month, which I really like. As well as a picture and description of each item, it also tells you which region it’s from!

The menu booklet has other fun things inside too.

You’ve also got the featured item, plus instructions for this month’s DIY candy kit.

We got another pack of amazing Japanese KitKats this month, this time Hojicha Kit Kats. Hojicha is green tea roasted over charcoal so it has an amazing smoky flavour. So delicious and perfect for autumn!

Apple Coca Cola is the featured snack this month. It’s a Japanese Exclusive Limited Edition flavour, and it’s perfect for this time of year!

This is a pleasingly large box of Matcha Sandwich Cookies. They’re lovely sweet butter cookies with a layer of matcha cream inside, really yummy!

Atsugi Luxury Potato Sea Urchin Flavour are the most unusual crisps I’ve ever seen! Sea urchin comes from Hokkaido and  is regularly eaten in Japan, and these are high end ridged crisps.

Saitama is known for chocolate so this Chocolate Pie is in hour of that region! It’s a crispy flaky pastry stick with a delicious chocolate filling.

Porickey are pretzel sticks that come in a variety of flavours, and this Brown Sugar Flavour pack is inspired by Okinawa, which produces a famous type of brown sugar.

Another apple item, these are Green Apples in a Bag, or actually tiny chewy aple-flavoured mochi.

A bigger mochi (chewy rice cake) this time, a Mochi Choco, which is a large mochi that is both filled and covered with delicious chocolate!

These are a pack of the famous classic Kibidango, traditional sticks of mochi, these ones being flavoured with peach.

More apples, this time Anpanman Apple Gummies, featuring this favourite superhero of Japanese children.

This Constellation Chocolate Cookie is like a reverse sandwich cookie! The chocolate is on the outside, and the cookie itself is the filling!

Doroyaki is a famous snack from Tokyo, a pancake sandwich with a read bean filling. This is a miniature version filled with chocolate cream, and it’s very rich but very delicious!

Corn Potage Snack reflects the Hokkaido specialty of sweetcorn, and this crispy crunchy snack does indeed taste just like corn soup!

Same corn potage flavour, but this time it’s  Potato Snack Corn Potage! These are crispy potato pieces with the delicious corn flavour.

This month’s DIY Candy Kit is the cute Doki Doki Fishing. Mix powder and water and add to the tiny fish moulds with the string, allow to set, and you’ve got a line of lovely candy fish!

This month’s Umaibo is Takoyaki (Fried Octopus Dough) flavour.

Finally, a quick trip back to Okinawa for more brown sugar, this imte a Brown Sugar Bar which is a light and crispy wafer-like bar flavoured with honey and brown sugar.

Our score: 9.4/ 10

What a delicious selection this month! I love the concept of flavours inspired by different parts of Japan showcasing their specialities. It's also interesting to see the different flavours, apple seems to be very popular at this time of year! My favourite this month is the Chocolate Dorayaki, because they are incredibly sweet and rich, but they are all so yummy. Another great selection this month!
