Toppbox is a monthly box of men’s grooming supplies. It costs £19 per month plus £3.35 p+p, but the box contents will always be a considerably higher value.
I love skincare products, but for this I have enlisted my lovely husband, Big C, to try out the items and give his considered opinion!
The box comes in a jiffy bag for a little extra protection for everything inside.
It’s all packaged up beautifully, and on top in the menu card.
As well as lots of information about what’s inside the box, you also get prices for each item.
On the top of the box was a Sencha Green Tea bag. It’s a little sample, but nice to have.
This is a bar of soap, a Friendly Soaps Vegan Charcoal Detox Bar. It’s black because it contains activated charcoal, and also lime and rosemary oil. It’s all-natural ingredients and smells absolutely delicious!
This White Rabbit Skin Care Vegan Orange Blossom and Aloe Vera Toner is very refreshing on the skin. It can be used before moisturizer, or as a spray to freshen up at any point of the day. It also has a light pleasant scent. It will be useful as the weather gets warmer!
If you’re prone to tired puffy eyes then the Christopher Courtney London Gentle De Puff Eye Serum will be very useful. As neither myself or Big C ever get enough sleep, I definitely think we’ll be sharing this one!
This is definitely a product for men! Balla for Men Body Powder, Tingle Formula, is designed to keep your body fresh and dry. It can be used on any area (take note fellows) and also has a subtle scent and leaves a slight tingle on the skin! Big C has never used talcum powder before, but Google tells me it’s great for keeping skin cook and reducing friction. Another one that will be great for hot weather!
This month we have a men’s fragrance, Eden Perfumes No. 168 Invictous Man. This smells absolutely wonderful! According to the menu, it has fruity fresh top notes, herbal middle notes, and then a woody base. I know nothing about perfume, but I can say I can smell all of those things in this! Big C adored it immediately, as did I, and it was also great timing as he had just run out of scent!
The value of this box seems absolutely spectacular! It totals £85.89, which is pretty huge for a box that costs less than £23.
I have to say that realistically the two most expensive items, the Eye Serum (£36) and the toner (£25) seem a little on the overpriced side to me. Having said that, they are also small-batch handmade products from natural ingredients, and while they may not be big name premium brands, the quality is certainly high.
In fact, all items are very high quality when it comes to ingredients. Everything is all natural, cruelty free, and vegan.
One of the things that Big C liked the most was that the items are different to last month, so there’s no danger of stockpiling lots of the same item. I like that I can use everything myself (except possibly the talc!) as even though this is a box of men’s skincare and grooming, this month these products are great for anyone.
