Toppbox – December 2018

Toppbox is a monthly box of men’s grooming supplies. It costs £19 per month plus £3.35 p+p, but the box contents will always be a considerably higher value.

Usually I enlist my husband to give his opinion, but a couple of the items this month are great potential stocking fillers, so I’ve not asked him this time! However I’m pretty sure what he’ll say.

The box itself is delivered in a padded envelope with extra padding, so everything says safe. The red tissue is a nice festive touch!

Here’s the menu card, which gives details on all the items, plus RRPs. I always check the prices online too.

First, an accessory, a Howard Matthews Karen Lapel Pin. This colourway is exclusive to Toppbox, and is gorgeous, I know Big C will love it. This is one for the Christmas stocking!

Christopher Courtney Superfood Intensive Lifting Serum. This product is designed to lift, firm, and tone the skin. The brand uses all-natural and organic ingredients.

A body product this time, MONUSKIN For Men Energy Body Rub. The idea with this gel is to refresh tired muscles. I can’t figure out whether this product is for the face or body, but as both Big C and I are tired pretty much all the time I’m fairly sure this will be used frequently! We’ve also used other products  from this range, and they are excellent, so I’ve got high expectations.

Anatomicals And Ain’t That The Tooth The Better Brush Charcoal Toothbrush and Whitening Toothpaste.

The toothpaste contains no fluoride, peroxide, and parabens, so great for people who prefer fluoride-free toothpaste. It uses baking soda to combat staining.

The toothbrush itself is really cool. It contains actual charcoal, which is very big right now, which removes plaque, fights bad breath, and prevents bacterial growth in the brush itself.

I also love that it comes in its own little travel case! This is another stocking filler for Big C, as he travels often for work, and the case will be incredibly useful.

Finally, a little travel-size bottle of Eden Perfumes #143 The One For Men, Woody Spicy. This came in a previous box, and Big C loved it so much he bought a full-size bottle! Another one for the stocking as it’ll be perfect for travel, along with the toothbrush.

Well, as well as this month’s box is proving very handy for stocking fillers, this is a great selection!

The little lapel pin is gorgeous, it’s whimsical without being tacky, and is a lovely touch to brighten up a plain suit.

The skincare items are terrific as always, and eminently stealable by WAGs (I borrow nearly everything!).
