TreatBox – June 2017: Seaside + Mermaids

Treatbox is a subscription box that I always look forward to every month as they are so beautifully put together and I adore the mystery as it’s a surprise each month. Treatbox is a lifestyle subscription box so you get a mixture of food, home, accessories, stationery or beauty products in each box.

The June Treatbox has a summery nautical, mermaid and seaside theme which is perfect for this time of the year! This box comes with seven items, most of which are cute and practical home items and stationery. There aren’t any beauty items in the box which is a little disappointing but I love all of these adorable seaside products included.

Let’s start with the quintessential British seaside staple, rock! Rock candy is so nostalgic to those who had seaside summer holidays in the UK and I’m one of them. The rock included is so colourful, nostalgic and it’s strawberry flavored; it’s made by The Rock Sweet Company.

Another equally adorable item, the ‘mermaids have more fun’ bracelet which isn’t really my style but it is very adorable and I can think of a lot of people who’d love this simple mermaid themed bracelet.

Next up, one of my favourite items from this month box, the ‘ahoy!’ boat hanging decoration. I love anything nautical themed as it’s so summery, fun and reminds me of family camping holidays and the seaside! The decoration I received says ‘ahoy!” but it also comes in ‘life’s a beach’ and ‘sail away with me’ that you could receive instead. It’s such a lovely decoration, the love the design and it will match our little summer house in the garden perfectly!

Sticking with the nautical decoration theme, the next item is a large wooden hanging sign from Sass and Belle that says ‘By the sea, by the beautiful sea. You and me, you and me, oh how happy we will be!”. The design is so cute, it makes me smile just looking at it and reminds me of summer holidays in Llandudno, Wales.

Now onto my favourite item in the box, the ‘merboss’ illustrated note pad which is perfect for me as I always use notebooks and notepads for to do lists and notes; you can never have too many notepads! I love the cute mermaid themed design and it’s a great size for my desk or even in my bag.

The print included in this month is also mermaid themed which says ‘mermaid kiss and starfish wishes’! The design, typography and watercolour background is so gorgeous.

The final item in the June Treatbox is a massive bag that says ‘take me to the beach’, again I love the typography. It is a huge bag so it would be great for beach towels and it’s water/splash resistant as well so it’s easy to clean. I’m going to use it for a less fun purpose, a paper recycling bag in the meantime but hopefully I can use it as a beach bag this summer.
