I was very happy when I received this month’s Vegan Cuts Beauty box over the weekend. Their previous boxes have been fantastic with new and interesting beauty products, all of which are vegan-friendly, natural and/or organic, and everything is guaranteed to be cruelty-free as well. They’re always great value for money too, so I was keen to open up May’s box as soon as possible.
May’s box contains five beauty products, three of which are full size! Let’s take a closer look:-
(1) Everclen Facial Toner (full size, worth $15)
The first product that I pulled out of the box was this toner from US brand, Everclen. It’s a fragrance-free, hydrating facial toner that’s been specially formulated to be suitable for sensitive skin types (which I have), and it helps to keep skin looking fresh and radiant. Hypoallergenic and it’s also non-comedogenic so it won’t block pores. I always use a hydrating toner like this in my daily skincare routine as I feel they add a little extra moisture where I need it the most, and they also prep the skin properly so that your moisturiser and makeup goes on much more smoothly afterwards. Can’t wait to try this out as it looks perfect for keeping your skin hydrated on hot summer days and I love the fact that it doesn’t contain any parabens, sulphates, phthalates, mineral oil etc.
(2) Terre Mere Cosmetics Contour Brush (full size, worth $34)
I haven’t received a makeup brush in any of the other beauty boxes that I’ve received over the past couple of months, so it was a lovely surprise to find one inside May’s Vegan Cuts Beauty box. This is a beautiful makeup brush – it has a sleek and smooth white handle with a metallic gold ferrule and white cruelty-free, super soft synthetic bristles. I haven’t heard of this brand before, but the quality of this brush is really impressive, and the brush head shape is cut at an angle for easy contouring and blending. I know I’m going to enjoy using this! You can use the discount code VEGANCUTS to get a huge 50% off at terremerecosmetics.com
(3) The Granola Goat – The Amazing Face Serum (sample size, worth $4)
This mini size vial of The Amazing Face Serum comes from a handmade Etsy company called The Granola Goat, and the serum is packed full of cold-pressed Raspberry Seed Oil and USDA certified Organic Sea Buckthorn Berry Oil to provide nourishing moisture to all skin types. It also includes specially selected pure essential oils to help further protect the skin against the elements and fight inflammation. I use serums all the time and this one looks perfect for holiday travel bags. You can also get 10% off any order with the discount code VEGANCUTS at thegranolagoat.etsy.com
(4) Medusa’s Makeup Bronzer in Sun-Kissed (full size, worth $12)
The star of this month’s box is the amazing full size bronzer from Medusa’s Makeup. I’m a sucker for cool packaging and I am obsessed with bronzers, especially for summer so I’m very excited to try this one out. I got the shade ‘Sun Kissed’ which is a warm, natural looking brown tan shade with a touch of shimmer to give you a holiday glow. Didn’t get a bronzer in your Vegan Cuts Beauty box? Don’t worry – this was a surprise as each box got something different and there was a choice of bronzer, blush or lip gloss – all full sizes!
(5) Molly Rose Balms Exfoliating Body Scrub in Grapefruit Basil (sample size, worth $2)
The fifth and final product was a sample size handmade vegan and organic body scrub from Molly Rose Balms. It has a wonderfully invigorating and uplifting basil and grapefruit scent which is earthy and zesty at the same time. A great size to pop into your weekend bag so you can buff your skin on-the-go.
