The Weekend Box Easter edition arrived last week, a few days after the email dropped into my inbox to let me know what was in store. This was great as I knew I needed to make sure we had an egg and a few other bits and bobs. It also built up the excitement and anticipation; and we were not disappointed!
What was in the box?
- Make your own carrot basket
- Bake your own easter nest cakes
- Grow a carrot top
- Make your own easter peek-a-boo chick
- Activity Book (with instructions for each project)
- Stickers
Our favourite project – making a peek-a-boo chick
This was a great little activity that we did pretty much as soon as the box arrived. I just needed to help out with the cutting and a little bit of glueing too. We loved how easy this was and also that there was enough leftover foam and paper to make a little East Card too. Here is out effort, someone was pretty pleased with it!
The carrot basket – also a great success
This was another activity we loved doing. We put some mini eggs in it and gave it to Grandma as part of her Easter present. It was super simple and just required a bit of help with taping the cone together.
Easter nest goodies
We had only just made some Easter nest cakes using cornflakes so this one is on hold for a week or so as we work our way through them. However we loved the fact that all you needed ingredients wise was provided and we can’t wait to make these this weekend!
Last but not least
We haven’t started this activity yet but plan to after Easter – it’s a great one to get kids in tune with nature and where their food comes from.
