This box was Legen- wait for it -dary! Legendary! With the theme of ‘Legend’, I was looking forward to see what would arrive and making so many How I Met Your Mother references, you’d think it was 2005 again and the finale never happened. I actually loved the physical packing box from this month as well. Wootbox has custom boxes for every months theme which is always cool, but this months was super cool. I’ll have to figure out a use for it.
So, this months figure is a Wootbox exclusive Funko Pop! figure of Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Goku. What a name! I’m not a big Dragonball Z fan but I had a conversation where I told a few friends I had got a figure of a Dragonball Z character with blue hair and a really long name, and was met with a loud chorus of “Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Goku!” One of them can have this cute little guy.
Now, when you say the word ‘Legend’ to me, my first reaction is to think of my brothers Legend of Zelda GameBoy game I played briefly as a kid. Briefly because it was super difficult and I could never figure it out. I tried it out again as an adult with the internet to help me and it was still tricky. This Zelda art printed on canvas, shows him taking on one of the new Guardians from the new Breath of the Wild game. I’ll definitely be hanging this on my wall and debating buying a Nintendo Switch.
Despite giving up 200 pages into the first A Song of Ice and Fire book because I just couldn’t read another page long description of someone’s meal, I quite like the Game of Thrones TV show. And shot glasses are always welcome. Heck, I might finally try one of those Game of Thrones drinking games. Take a shot from the Stark glass every time Jon Snow knows nothing! Take a shot from the Targaryen glass every time all men must die.
The teeshirt of the month was so awesome this month that I actually wore it before I got around to taking photographs. I wanted to show it off ASAP! I love Sonic the Hedgehog and I love the pixelated design. It’s so 90’s kid and I’m all for that. As always with Wootbox, it’s soft and comfortable to wear. This was my easily my favourite item in the box and I can see myself wearing this all the time.
And the badge of the month! Or magnet of the month, I guess? For the past couple months, Wootbox have been sending gorgeous enamel pins that have been some of my favourite pieces from the boxes. I was pretty disappointed when this months badge was this plastic Empress emblem. The booklet that explains everything was vague enough that it took a pretty deep Google dive to figure out that this is the Auryn from the 1979 book and 1984 movie; ‘The Neverending Story’, which actually sounds amazing. But quality-wise, valued at £2 by Wootbox, I’d agree with that.
