Fancy receiving a box of snacks and drinks every month, delivered straight to your door? WowBoxMe offers exactly this kind of subscription service, and with a low monthly fee starting at just £6.99 (for the non-alcoholic box, with the alcoholic box being priced at £9.99 plus postage), it’s one of the most affordable boxes in this category.
The contents of each month’s box are a surprise every time, so to give you an idea of what to expect, here’s what’s inside WowBoxMe‘s latest February alcoholic box:-
STAR Finest Lager Beer
First up, there’s a large bottle of STAR Finest Lager Beer, a premium quality lager from Nigeria. With an alcohol volume of 5.1%, my housemates gladly drank this over the weekend (I’m not a fan of beers or lager!), and said it was very refreshing, especially when served nice and cold.
The Shy Pig Blush Wine
I haven’t come across The Shy Pig before but this Blush Wine was lovely and fruity with notes of Strawberries and Cherries – a taste of Summer! It’s 10.5% vol and is something that I’ll be looking out for in the supermarket to purchase again.
V Water in Ginger & Mango Flavour
Next up, there’s a bottle of V Water in a tasty Ginger and Mango flavour. These have appeared in previous WowBoxMe boxes and are vitamin-enriched soft drinks for when you need a healthy boost on the go. Perfect for gym bags and work lunches.
Walkers Max Strong Crisps in Hot Chicken Wings Flavour
Walkers Max Strong are very similar to McCoys in the respect that they’re a chunkier, ridged type of crisp and these are packed full of flavour with a spicy Hot Chicken Wings style of coating on them. The bag arrived a little crushed at the bottom of the box unfortunately, but they were tasty nonetheless!
KitKat Ruby Cocoa Beans
New from KitKat, we have their Ruby Cocoa Beans flavour which is described as their traditional wafer KitKat but coated in ‘couverture chocolate’ – a much higher quality of chocolate that uses a higher percentage of cocoa butter for a decadent and indulgent experience. I’d definitely buy this again!
Cadbury Darkmilk
Another newbie, this time from Cadbury, this is their Darkmilk bar which is made from 40% cocoa and 14% milk, compared to the standard Dairy Milk that contains 23% cocoa and 20% milk. The resulting Darkmilk is much richer and creamier chocolate that feels more ‘grown up’ – I really enjoyed this with a cup of tea this afternoon.
Yes! Lively Lemon, Quinoa & Chilli Fruit Bar and Sumptuous Cranberry & Dark Choc Nut Bar
The last two products in the box are both from the healthy snack brand Yes! and these the Lively Lemon, Quinoa & Chilli Fruit Bar and Sumptuous Cranberry & Dark Choc Nut Bar. Both contain less sugar than other cereal/fruit and nut bars on the market and I particularly liked the Sumptuous Cranberry & Dark Choc Nut Bar.
