YumeTwins is bringing on some chilled festive cuteness with December’s box of kawaii goodies Deamy Christmas Memories.
The booklet gives a little extra information about the items in the box.
There’s also plenty to read about Christmas in Japan, and especially how the kawaii factor comes in. Even though Christmas isn’t a traditional Japanese festival, it’s been embraced in popular culture.
YumeTwins Original Magical Nyan Nyan Christmas Plush
YumeTwins has its own mascot, the cat called Nyan Nyan (after the sound of a cat’s meow in Japanese!) and we’ve seen several cute themed versions of this little kitty. This one is a special design for Christmas, featuring n adorable green Santa hat with snowflakes and snowman, reindeer antlers, and a little gingerbread man embroidered on the back! Even the markings on her face have been made Christmassy. Super cute and festive.
BT21 Fluffy Photo Case, All-Purpose Bunny Fluffy Socks (mystery item)
BT21 is a super popular kawaii character universe created by the K-Pop megaband. The item is a cute fluffy hanging photo case which has a clip so it can be attached to a bag or used as a keychain. There’s space for a picture or ID card, and it comes on one of the seven characters – mine is Mang – J-Hope.It’s the perfect size for one of those Instax photos too!
The other item is one of several mystery gifts that include stationery or accessories. My fluffy socks – which are always useful, especially in winter! – feature All Purpose Bunny, a modern character who has extra long ears.
Sumikko Gurashi DIY Snow Globe, Sumikio Gurashi Christmas Storage Box
This little snow globe comes in a series of parts that you fit together yourself and then fill with water to produce and adorable snowy kawaii scene. Sumikko Gurashi are a popular series of characters that are all very shy and like to snuggle up in a cosy corner. They are also featured on the storage box, which fold out to make a useful caddy for cosmetics, accessories, or anything you like to keep tidy! It looks especially cute on a nightstand or dressing table. It’s decorated with one of two scenes – a Christmas party for the characters, or all of them cosying up dreaming of Christmas morning.
