YumiTwins is kawaii-fying the New Year with the New Year, Kawaii Cheer box of cute goodies from Japan!
The menu booklet included tells you all about each item, and there are also of plenty of fun trivia about kawaii culture and the new year in Japan.
This Rilakkuma Toast Shoulder Bog has that great combination of cute and surreal that Japanese kawaii does so well! Rilakkuma is a favourite kawaii character, a little teddy beat, except this time his face has been transformed into a slice of toast and made into a cute bag. It’s got a zip compartment and shoulder strap, and it is surprisingly roomy. This is a greta one to show off some kawaii quirkiness!
On the left is a cuter Sanrio Coin Purse. There are several possible options, and I have Corocorokurinrin, who is a cute and shy hamster character who always wears a hat in the shape of a flower. The purse has a metal clasp and is a great size for your handbag. There’s also a Lucky Stress Ball, one of those lovely squeezy things. Mine in in the same of a Daruma Doll, a traditional Japanese symbol of good luck, very appropriate for the new year!
Kawaii Desk Calendar is a perfect little touch for new year. It’s small enough to place almost anywhere, not just your desk, and each month features a cute animal watercolour-style picture.
The last item this month is Mystery Item. I have this cute little My Melody Country Style Plush, and she’s wearing a cute patterned dress with an apron and headscarf.
