This month’s box of kawaii goodies from Japan is a little bit of a mashup as Kawaii ANIME Universe!

In this box the cute and cuddly meets the anime world, featuring Demon Slayer, Cardcaptor Sakura and more. The menu booklet tells you about the items in the box, plus there’s also fun stuff about the anime world and famous Japanese anime conventions.

The Cardcaptor Sakura Hair Band is a very ute wearable accessory. It’s soft and stretchy with a large logo’d bow, plus an adorable little figure of Kero-Chan on top. The next soft kawaii item is incredibly fun: Demon Slayer Dress Towel! It’s made from towelling and comes with an actual wooden hanger as well. It’s designed to be a hand towel, which would amazing in a bathroom, but actually it could also be used as a doll dress-up item. Either was, this is one of the most original pieces of kawaii merch I’ve ever seen.

Two of these three items are actually mystery items. The first is a Spy X Family Sticker Set & Case, which is a set of little stickers in a reusable case. There are several possible design sets, or alternatively in some boxes is a One Piece stamp.

The second is a Mystery Anime Goodie, which would be either a Sailor Moon badge, plushie, or SPY X FAMILY plushie. I got a Sailor Moon Plushie, one of the little cute round plushies.

Finally is a Pinoko Key Chain which is a little minifigure of Pinoko, who’s is the assistant of the retro anime character Black Jack. It’s a cute figure with a little accessory attached and can be clipped to keys or to a bag as decoration.

I have to say that the Demon Slayer Towel is a real standout item this month. It's slightly odd but actually amazing. The detail is really cool, I love that it comes with its own hangar, and as something completely different for a bathroom it's pretty unbeatable! The hairband is also very cute, it's big and soft and perfect to keep your hair off your face when washing or masking. The other three items are nice, though I don't really like mystery items, especially not more than one. It's good they fit with the kawaii anime theme, and I'm glad I got one of the little ball plushies, but the stickers feel a bit small. But the hero item really is excellent, so overall I would say this is a pretty good selection, with a nice coherent theme.
