YumeTwins is a monthly box of Japanese kawaii products from Tokyo. It is part of the TokyoTreat subscription box group which also includes TokyoTreat and nomakenolife. Each box contains 6 – 8 kawaii items including plushies and lifestyle goods plus premium anime brands.
They have one-, three-, six-, and 12-month subscriptions costing $35.00, $33.50, $32.00, and $31.50 per month respectively. At current exchange rates this is £26.21, £25.09, £23.96, and £23.59. Shipping is free.
This month’s theme is Cinnamoment.
And there’s the third of the three Sanrio plushie series! You’ll see him in a moment.
There’s a full contents list in the menu magazine, plus other bits of fun such as kawaii culture and social media pages.
And here’s the Cinnamoroll plush! Isn’t he lovely? Like the other two in previous boxes he is called a roll plush, because he’s round like a roll! He’s very soft and cuddly indeed.
This is a Shining Clear Case. There are seven possible designs, but I love this Sumikko Gurashi one.
These are three Animal Food Clips. Not only are they very useful for sealing bags, but they have handy little date sliders on the side so you can record when you opened the bag or when the food need to be eaten. Both cute and practical!
This is a Rilakkuma Fragrance Clip. It’s called a fragrance clip because it smells of honey lemon. There were three different designs, and this one is Rilakkuma himself. This would be useful for clipping together papers.
This month’s squishy is a Water Manju Squishy. Water Manchu is a type of sweet mochi (rice cake) and these soft little squishies are in the shape of the dessert, with a little face for extra kawaii effect!
Finally, a sheet of Ice Cream Kuritaro Puffy Stickers. These stickers are really quite soft and squishy with a great 3D effect. Some of them even have little heart-shaped jewels!
It’s lovely to complete the set of Sanrio plushies, they’re all so lovely and soft, and very endearing.
The box would make a lovely little treasure chest to special little keepsakes, and I like the effect of the clear coloured plastic.
I’m not that keen on squishys myself, but I actually like this one, mainly because it’s a bit different!
The clips are very cute, and also useful because I think you can never have too many clips in the kitchen, and these are a very cute way to seal up your food.
As for the stickers and the clip, they’re both cute but they fell a bit small and a tiny bit filler-y. It’s always nice to have stickers, but they’re not hard to find in the UK (though I admit I’ve not seen them with little jewels before). The clip is also very tiny, though to be fair, branded Sanrio items like this are rather expensive in the UK, so the actual value is probably relatively high.
Reservations aside this is still a nice selection of items, and the plush is amazing! I’ve looked at licensed Sanrio plushes in the UK, and anything this size would cost over £20 minimum. Even though I’m not quite as impressed as last month, I’m sure you get plenty of bang for your buck!
