YumeTwins is a monthly box of Japanese kawaii products from Tokyo. It is part of the TokyoTreat subscription box group which also includes TokyoTreat and nomakenolife. Each box contains 6 – 8 kawaii items including plushies and lifestyle goods plus premium anime brands.
They have one-, three-, six-, and 12-month subscriptions costing $35.00, $33.50, $32.00, and $31.50 per month respectively (from around £25).
After the lovely Totoro-themed box back in August, YumeTwins has produced another single character box: Kirbyland!
This cute pink ball is the main character in the Nintendo series of games, also named Kirby. He is a seriously iconic character in the world of games, and of course super cute!
Here’s the full list of items in the menu booklet, which also contains competitions, readers’ photos, and fan art.
First, we have a Moving Kirby Plushie. This is one of two possible designs, a happy and sleepy.
Underneath are little wheels, with a pull-back mechanism. He zips along the floor at am impressive rate, though it’s slower on carpet.
There is also a choice of two Kirby Tote Bags. My version here is a small insulated lunch bag, and there is also the possibility of a larger A4 tote. Both versions come with the decorative scarf attached.
This is called a Kirby Plushie Badge Gachapon. It’s a plastic capsule and inside is a badge and a soft cover for the plastic ball.
A handy stationery item here, a Kirby Gel Pen. It’s retractable and writes nicely, and my Star Rod pen is one of ten different versions.
Finally a Kirby YoYo. There is also the possibility of a frisbee, but this yoyo is pretty good, nice and heavy plus very cute.
