I was so excited to receive this new Ramen & Sweets Pack from ZenPop a few days ago and love the theme for April which is Spring Picnic! Haven’t heard of ZenPop before and love all things foodie and Japanese? Here’s a rundown of what they have to offer:-

Ume Shio Soba
This newly-released ramen is perfect for Spring and features a smooth shio (salt) soup which is flavoured with chicken and sour plum. The non-fried ramen noodles are also topped with chicken meatballs and a naruto kam-amboko, and the beautifully packaged container will add some spring vibes to your lunch!
Ekimae Shokudo Miso Ramen
Representing what’s locally on offer at many station cafeterias across the country, these healthy non-fried noodles are served in a flavourful miso broth which is topped with wakame (seaweed), corn, cabbage, carrot and sprouts. Yum!
BonchiAge Kishu Ume
Celebrating one of Japan’s most traditional and famous kinds of crackers, BonchiAge are deep-fried, light and crispy crackers packed with tons of umami flavours such as soy sauce, bonito and kombu.
Ko Ume (Sour Plum) Jagariko
A special collaboration of Lotte’s Ko Ume sour candy and Calbee’s Jagariko Potato Sticks, this sour, sweet and salty plum snack is a new limited edition for the spring season. It’s certainly an acquired taste!
Milky Pink Sakura Chocolate
New from Milky is their Pink Sakura Chocolate which marks the start of the Cherry Blossom season in Japan. It features a special filling of pink sakura in a milky cream texture covered in milk chocolate – delicious!
Fettuccine Gummy Italian Peach
Perfectly al dente, these peach gummies are sweet and tart sugar-coated delights which are shaped like Italian fettuccine pasta. The pouch is resealable but they are so yummy that it’ll be hard not to eat the whole packet in one sitting!
Cheese Umaibo
Umaibo translates as ‘delicious stick’ and this is Japan’s go-to puffed corn snack. This one is full of cheesy flavoured goodness and is quite moreish in its own right.
Peach Gum Sour Surprise
